Samuel Munson Davies, Sr., 85, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 5, 2016. He was the son of the late Gladys Shackleford Davies and Hugh Christian Davies, Sr. He was also predeceased by his son, Timothy Davies. He retired after working over 36 years for Lipton Tea in shipping and receiving. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Samuel is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Mark Wright, and Sandra and Michael Haukeness; son, Samuel M. Davies, Jr.; and grandchildren, Dylan Wright and Barbara Deen Wright.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Mark Reon officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
