Sally Matthews, 62, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2021.  She was a lifelong resident of Suffolk and was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Shirley Matthews and her beloved cat, Groucho.

Sally loved scrapbooking, crafts, anything purple, cats and volunteering with Sunday School, in the Nursery or Welcome Desk at Church.  Most of her friends and siblings have many of her hand-crafted items.

Sally is survived by two sisters, Sherry Matthews and Susan (Eddie) Sharp of Suffolk and one brother, Bump (Melanie) Matthews of Manakin-Sabot, Aunt Geraldine Matthews of Suffolk and Aunt Janice and Uncle Sonny Grover of Conyers, GA.  She also leaves behind numerous cousins and special friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, April 20 at Parr Funeral Home at 5:00 PM with Pastor Fred Gray officiating.  Visitation to follow immediately after the service.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 917 Carolina Road, Suffolk VA 23434, Breast Cancer Research, Cerebral Palsy Foundation or to any charity of choice.
