Ruth "Doll" Sykes Perry, 80, passed away April 13, 2012. She was born in New York the daughter of the late Ruth and Harry Wade. She was a graduate of Granby High School Class of "1949". Doll was co-owner and auctioneered for Franklin Auction House and Tom's Auctions and Appraisals. She was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Doll is survived by her husband of 31 years, Cleveland "Tom" Perry; daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Jorg Glaubke of Norfolk, VA, Tammy Christianson of Abingdon, VA, Karen and Eric Harrington of Washington, IN, Kristen Barnes of Norfolk, VA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Sykes of Monroe, GA; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church with Rev. David Nicholes officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
