Mrs. Ruth Foy Horne, age 87, of Charlotte went to be with her Savior Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born December 15, 1924 in Black Mountain, North Carolina, the daughter of the late James Lafayette Foy and Frances Bender Foy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Marion L. Horne. Mrs. Horne was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all. She loved the Lord and fulfilled his calling by witnessing in his name and offered spiritual council to those who were in need.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Marion Eugene Horne of Clover, SC ; daughters, Frances Alexander, of Virginia Beach, VA; Nancy Fielding and husband Bill of Salisbury, NC; Elaine Broom of Dallas, NC; Carol Brown and husband Jim of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren; Karen and Hampton Miller and Andy and Kathy Warren of Virginia Beach, Wendy and Jack Stanton of Salisbury, NC, David Fielding of Cornelius, NC, Michael and Chad Broom of Dallas, NC and Jessica Horne of Clover, SC; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous other loving friends and family members.

A graveside viewing and service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyer Road, Mint Hill NC 28227. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org. Condolences may be registered online at parrfuneralhome.com
