Russell Lee Eley, Jr. passed away March 25, 2021.  Born in Suffolk, VA on June 29, 1935, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Ida Thigpen Eley.  He was preceded in death by a loving daughter, Deborah E. Bulluck and husband Jeff, and two sisters, Lolita E. Knick and husband Stanley, and Ida B. Cohoon and husband Thomas W. Cohoon.

Russell was a former Va. State Trooper, Army veteran and retired from N.N.S.Y.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jane Russell Eley, and two sons, Russell L. Eley III and wife Rachel, and Douglas Bemery Eley and wife Kimberly.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Holly Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, March 27th at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Carter officiating.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
