Russell Lawrence Dixon, 72, passed away May 14, 2017.  He was born in Norfolk, VA, the son of the late Russell Lowell Dixon and Annette Jonns Dixon.  Russell was an U.S. Army veteran that served during Vietnam.  He later went on to work as a HVAC-R technician.

Russell is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia Simmen Dixon; daughters and son-in-law, Christi Dixon Pickett (Tony), Sherry Rebecca Dixon; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Victoria Pickett; sister and brother-in-law, Loretta F. Brill (Harold); and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service with military honors was held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery with Rev. Alan Moor officiating.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
