Russell James Crawford, 42, of Suffolk, VA went to be with the Lord May 28, 2011. He was born in Sidney, NY the son of James F. and Marjorie C. Crawford. Russell was the beloved husband of Rebecca Ann Crawford. He worked as an agricultural supervisor at the Virginia Tech Tidewater Ag Research and Extension Center. Russell was a member of Wells Bridge Baptist Church in Wells Bridge, NY.

In addition to his parents and wife, Russell is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sheila Crawford Jones and Dan Jones; and nephews, Drew Jones and Mitchell Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Wells Bridge Baptist Church, Wells Bridge, NY, officiated by Pastor James Cummins. Burial will follow at the Union Church Cemetery, Sidney, NY. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Unadilla, NY.
