Ruby Vick Cherry, 84, of Suffolk, VA went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2010. She was born in Edgecombe Co., NC the daughter of the late Robert Edward Vick and Margaret Wallace Vick. She was predeceased by her husband, Carlton B. Cherry and brother, James Edward Vick. She was a member of Trinity Christian Church.

Mrs. Cherry is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret C. and William Rhodes of Zuni, VA; Elaine C. and Wayne Holland of Midlothian, VA, Betty Jean C. and Elliott Simpkins of Suffolk, VA, Jo Ann C. and Roland Ellis of Suffolk, VA, Kathy C. Love of Powhatan, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Carlton Bradley and Dawn Cherry of Zuni, VA;; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Anna B. Worrell of NC; sister-in-law, Dixie Vick of Conway, SC and Doris C. Daughtridge of NC.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Mark Habecker officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
