Ronald Lee Martin, 70, of Suffolk, VA, died December 20, 2006. He was a native of Dinwiddie County, VA and and member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and the New Hope Bible Class. Ronnie retired in 1993 after 37 years of service from the Quality Assurance Department of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Portsmouth, VA. He was a member of the Churchland Masonic Lodge #276, Suffolk Masonic Lodge # 30, Port Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter #36, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Khedive Shrine. He was also a member of the Cypress Chapel Ruritan Club (nickname "Handlebar"), and a past member of the Suffolk Cosmopolitan Club where he served as president two times. Ronnie was the son of the late Audrey Lee Bass Martin and Cecil Edward Martin. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Sue Ann Griffin and sisters, Nancy M. Kay and Mary Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Nancy H. Martin of Suffolk, VA; Daughters and Sons-In-Law, Robbin and Gary Blow of Chesapeake, VA, Leslie and Jack Wills of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 Grandchildren, Ronald L. Blow, Jesse Blow, and Allen C. Bradshaw; Sister, Peggy Martin of Suffolk, VA; Brothers, Richard "Fuzzy" Martin of Spring, TX, Cecil "Herky" Martin of Richmond, VA, and Husie Martin of Las Vegas, NV.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation at Cypress Chapel Christian Church in the New Hope Bible Class Room, at 12:30 p.m. on Friday prior to the funeral service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. John R. Kimball and Dr. Willis I. Dowling officiating. Burial will be at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
