Ronald Clyde Horne, 64, of Portsmouth, VA passed away on January 2, 2008. He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Frederick William Horne, Sr. and also predeceased by a niece Heather Spady. Ronald retired from the Steam Fitters and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 110 of Norfolk. He was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge #30. Ronald loved fishing and drag racing.

He is survived by his mother, Diana E. Outlaw Horne of Chesapeake; sisters and brother in-law, Carolyn H. Spady and Frank Spady, II of Portsmouth and Janet H. Mathias of Smithfield; brother, Frederick W. "Billy" Horne, Jr. of Chesapeake; step brother, James "Jimmy" Holland, III of Richmond; and nieces Jennifer Mathias, Jessica Pelky, Judith Mathias and Amy Hill and husband Bryce Hill; and several great nieces and nephews.


A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. , Friday, January 4, 2008 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Rev. Jim George officiating.
