Roger "Duck" Lee Cook, 83, of Suffolk, VA passed away on July 1, 2012. He was born in Ivor, VA the son of the late Sweetie Mae Saunders Cook and Robert H. Cook, Sr. He was also predeceased by his wife Rosa Irene Cook and siblings, Linwood Cook, Robert Cook Jr., Edwin Cook, Margaret Venters, Elton, Bobby, and Herman Cook, and Gladys Dickerson. Roger retired from Planter's Peanut Company. He attended Wilroy Baptist Church and was an avid fundraiser with his wife with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Roger is survived by his children, Delores Cook of Stoney Creek, VA; adopted daughter, Kathy Runyon Ramage (Mathew) and adopted daughter, Cindy Moegenburg (Bruce), all of Suffolk; Rosa Lee Gardner (Danny) of Gates, NC; Bobby Cook (Nicolle) of Windsor, Roger Cook (Beatrice) of Petersburg, Paul Fravel (Sue) of Mannington, WV, Donald Fravel (Polly) of Harrisonburg; Robert Fravel (Brenda) of Cumberland, MD; Ronald Fravel (Ginny) of Arkansas and Charles Fravel of Eure, NC; 34 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Johnson and Lucille Berryman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 12 noon at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Rev. Ray Hampton officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the funeral home for visitation on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Suffolk Chapter, 604 Constance Woods Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.
