Robert Norfleet White, 78, of Suffolk, VA passed away on March 11, 2010. A native of Chowan Co., NC he was the son of the late Joe White and Grace Ward White and also predeceased by a brother, Colin G. White. He retired from A & P Tea Company as a Store Manager and also retired from Nabisco. Robert was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church; Suffolk Golf Association and Suffolk Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anne Harris White of Suffolk; a daughter, Grace "Beth" White of Charlottesville; sister, Betty W. Pierce of Suffolk, sister-in-law Connie G. White of Suffolk; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbert W. and Betty White of Charlottesville, Joseph R. and Carmen White of Grundy, VA and Clifton A. White of Norfolk; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Halley officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk.
