Robert C. Malbon, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on June 18, 1957, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Robert was reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife of 49 years and his youngest son, both of whom he lovingly cared for in their final days.

The son of Robert M. Malbon and Jean Taylor, Robert grew up in the Tidewater area and graduated from Norview High School in 1975. A lifelong resident of the region, he made an indelible mark as a master electrician and was widely respected as a giant in the construction industry.

A second-degree black belt and accomplished martial artist, Robert had a deep passion for discipline, tradition, and self-improvement. His love for classic cars, classic rock and roll, and the outdoors — especially fishing — defined many of his happiest moments. He also had a fondness for dogs and was an avid firearms enthusiast.

Robert was known by all for his gruff sense of humor and his heart of gold. He touched countless lives with his strength, loyalty, and fierce love for his family.

He is survived by his son, Robert C. Malbon II; his daughter-in-law, Veronica Malbon; and two cherished grandchildren, Audrey Malbon and Robert Diego Malbon, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Family and friends are invited to honor Robert's life on Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home in Suffolk, Virginia.

Though he has departed, the legacy of Robert C. Malbon — as a fighter, a builder, and a deeply loving family man — lives on in all who knew and loved him.
