Robert Joseph Lester, 69, passed away on April 15, 2016. He was born in West Virginia to the late Mack and Gladys Dotson Lester. He is predeceased by sisters, Lillian Sipple, Betty Lester, and Elizabeth Kennedy; and brothers, Arnold, Jennings, James Ray, Okey, Charlie, and Tommy. He and his brother Ieager, opened up Lester Bros. in Suffolk, VA in the early '70s. He was a member of the Marshall Hunt Club, an avid hunter and loved classic cars.

Robert is survived by his girlfriend of 8 years, Lynn Branch; sons, Robert Wayne Lester and Judi, William Mack Lester and Kerry; step-children, Shane Landry Peavy and Lorraine Christine Grizzle; grandchildren, Tyler and Kelly Lester, Hannah Baines, Madison Dunn, and Brooklyn Lester; sister, Thelma Cisco; brother, Ieager Lester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 10 am in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tommy Speight officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be posted at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
