Robert Kenneth "Kenny" Shank, 34, of Suffolk, VA departed this life peacefully on May 21, 2008. He was born on April 9, 1974 in Suffolk, VA, graduated from Lakeland High School and employed as a Shift Foreman at Truck Enterprise in Chesapeake. He loved life, and his family, he was a wonderful son, husband, father, uncle and friend. His memory will live on through all those who were touched by Kenny.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Anne Cocco Shank and his precious son, Zachary Kenneth Shank of Carrsville, VA; his father and mother, James E. and Toni P. Shank; his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Heather Shank and two nieces and two nephews, all of Suffolk; and Cathy Adickes, who helped give Kenny four more wonderful years by donating a kidney to him. He will be remembered by special friends, Dan English and Barry Chittum.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, with the Rev. Chuck Worth and the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and other times at 4701 Old Mill Road, Suffolk.
