Robert Lee Johnson, Jr., 74, aka "Stump" aka "Barney" passed away peacefully September 30, 2023 after a brief illness.  Barney, as we he was known by most friends was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War and was retired from Texaco.  Barney was loved by many for his enormous sense of humor, generous heart, and ability to turn any gathering into a party.  He loved to travel, read the paper, drink Crown, sing Elvis and spend time with the many dogs he fathered over the years.

Barney is survived by his sister, Tammy Pressley, nieces, Robin Guenthner and Kimberly Bost; nephews, Kevin and Timothy Matthews;  and his family by choice, the Saris.  He will be missed tremendously by his family and multitude of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service with military honors will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the home of Charles and Tina Sari with Eric Eriksen officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Humane Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
