Robert Kennedy Jackson, 61, passed away June 20, 2015. He was born in Portsmouth, VA the son of Jane Miller Jackson and the late Robert Kennedy Wilson Jackson. He was predeceased by his brother, Bart Jackson. Robert retired from the U.S. Navy as a Senior Chief. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Including his mother, Robert is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara Ann Ruth Jackson; daughter, Julie Margaret Jackson; and a sister.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Stewart McCarter and Rev. Stephen Arrington officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund. Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
