Robert Carroll George, Sr., 77, of Suffolk, VA passed away December 20, 2012. He was born in Boston, KY to the late Robert O. and Bertha P. George. Robert is also predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Blanche V. George. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Shop 38.

Robert is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Dollie and James Wilson, Brenda George, Carla and Robert Joyce, and Jinnie and William Holmes; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert George, Jr. and Shelly George; grandchildren, James and Megan, Jason and Jenny, Justin and Sarah, Jerid and Holly, Robert III, Craige, William, Steven, Brian, Kammie, and Toni and Derick; great grandchildren, James, Ashley, Mya, Haley, Jerid, Jr., Jasara, Thomas, Mason, Shelby, Jacob, and two on the way; and sister, Judith Hitt.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 12 noon, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
