Robert Cooper "R.C." Jones, 72, of Suffolk, VA passed away March 6, 2007. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA the son of the late Mary Margaret Margaret Dowling Jones and Arthur James Jones, Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran. R.C. retired as the Deputy Director Mobilization U. S. Army Reserve Personell Center for the Federal Government. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Louise Jones and two brothers, James and Richard Jones.

R.C. is survived by his daughter, Brenna M. Kablick of Wilkes-Barre, PA; grandchildren, Joseph Pashia, Renee White, and Kimberley White; sisters, Margaret Ann Woods of Hackettstown, NJ, and Ruth Scholl of Suffolk, VA; brothers, Edward Jones of Hookerton, NC, and Arthur James "A.J." Jones, Jr. of Gainesville, VA; several nieces and nephews; and namesake nephew, Roberto.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Ruth Scholl at 3816 Deerpath Rd. Suffolk, VA 23434.
