Robert Leary Byrum, 82, of Chesapeake, VA passed away January 15, 2008. He was born in Tyner, NC the son of the late Patra L. and Thomas Byrum. He was also predeceased by his sister, Helen Jernigan and brothers, William and John Byrum. Robert was a driver for Elbow Road Farm, Inc. He was a member of Church of God and former member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge.

Robert is survived by his sisters, Gertrude Ward of Suffolk, VA and Myrtle Norman of Hertford, NC; special companion, Hazel Byrum of Suffolk, VA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Church of God, 205 Kilby Ave., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. James Hughes officiating.
