Robert Brinkley Benton, 90, passed away August 20, 2025.  Robert was born in Sunbury, NC the son of the late Robert Brooks Benton and Elizabeth Brinkley Benton.  He is predeceased by sisters, Anne Ellis, Virginia Jones, and Martha Davila.  Robert retired from American Environmental Group as a driver.  He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Deborah Benton Reese (Tommy), Christie Benton Oswald (Jay), and grandchildren, Patricia Reese Korman (Ben), William Regan Oswald.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.  A time of visitation will be held after the service.  A private inurnment will be held on a later date at Warwick Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
