Richard Doughty, Jr., age 63, of Suffolk, VA passed away May 28, 2013 at home. He was a lifelong resident of Chuckatuck. He retired after 19 years from General Electric and was currently employed with the City of Norfolk at the Western Branch Pumping Station in Suffolk, VA for 25 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Laura Doughty and half sister, Ruby Johnson.

He leaves behind his ex-wife and friend, Billie S. Doughty; children, Leigh Ann, Beth, and Brent; grandchildren, Lauren, Hannah, Taylor, and Josh; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Ray Gray; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Newman Cemetery behind Oakland Christian Church with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Friends may join the family Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
