Richard Dale Davis Sr, 67, passed away on January 1, 2026. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Mattie Louise McMikel Davis, and Benjamin Hill Davis Sr. He is also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. He served in the US Army and later worked as a valve technician for Ashley Valve. He was a member of Ignite Church. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and riding and working on motorcycles.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Evelyn Mae Hoover Davis; children, Ricky Piland (Barbara), Randy Phelps, Lisa Roth, Curtis Davis, Thomas Gallagher (Luann), John Ross Gallagher, Jimmy Gallagher, Bobby Davis, and Harley Lee Davis; step children, Johnathan Yautau Brown, Kimberly Mae Brown, and Angela Marie Herron; 22 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Katherine Louise Peeler (Jack), Benjamin Hill Davis Jr. (Bertha), Tim Scott (Chris), Linda Buranich, Ronnie DeGrove (Marie), Sabra Ann Maye, Gary Paul Davis Sr. (Angel), Donald Wayne Davis Sr (Toni), and Patricia Laureano; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard's funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jimmy Aleshire officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 13, 2026 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
