Richard "Ricky" Anthony Baker, 54, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 10, 2013 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA. Ricky was born in Baltimore, MD January 23, 1959. He lived most of his childhood in Blacksburg, VA then moved to Suffolk, VA. He attended John F. Kennedy High School. He was employed by G.T.L., Inc. Ricky was a member of Wesley Chapel U.M.C. in Chuckatuck.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maggie M. Baker and Kenneth "Bill" R. Baker. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Byrd Baker, daughter, Ann Marie Longley (Matt), son, Richard "Rick" Anthony Baker, Jr., grandchildren, Andrew Baker, Joshua Longley, Bradley Zagurskie, and MaKenzie Zagurskie; sisters, Brenda Copeland (Junior), and Sherry Horton (Jerry); brother, Mark Baker; brother-in-law, Hugh D. Byrd, Jr. (Caroline); nephews, Brandon Horton (Heather), and Christian Harris; niece, Shannon Lambaiso (Brandon); great nephew, Nathan; great niece, Autumn; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hugh and Pam Byrd.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Wesley Chapel U.M.C. Cemetery in Chuckatuck with Rev. Ileana Rosario officiating.
