Raymond "Peanut" Burchett Rawles, Jr., 55, passed away August 9, 2016. He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Raymond Burchett Rawles, Sr. and Janice Marie Spicer Pritchard. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Earl "Buddy" Spicer. Peanut worked in construction hanging sheet rock. He was a member of the Byrum Hunt Club.

Peanut is survived by his loving companion, Linda Clear; children, Billy Wayne, Westley, Michael, Christina, and Katelyn; sister, Marie Waters; brother, Albert Rawles, Sr. and wife, Myna Cisco Rawles; nieces and nephews, Jessica Weaver, Tiffany Dalton, Rebecca Rawles, Albert "A.J." Rawles, Jr., and Austin Rawles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
