Ray Sidney Lowrimore Sr., 78, died March 30, 2006. He was a native of Norfolk and retired from working in the terminal at Texaco in Chesapeake. He was a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. He was the son of the late Curtis Leon and Mabel Baker Lowrimore. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mable M. Lowrimore; daughter, Debbie Lowrimore of Nashua, N.H.; son, Ray Sidney Lowrimore Jr. of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Cathy Johnson, Christy Johnson and Matt Bailey; sister, Carol L. Walczak of Jackson, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. L. Wayne Carter at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may join the family Sunday at Parr Funeral Home, Suffolk, from 2 to 4 p.m. and other times at the residence. Contributions may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
