Randy Lee Carter, 65, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 5, 2008. He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late Grace Powell Carter and James Mark Carter. Randy was employed with Lipton Tea Company in Suffolk. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, Suffolk Masonic Lodge No. 30, Portsmouth Scottish Rites, and Khedive Shriners.

Randy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy S. Carter of Suffolk, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristie C. and Michael T. Bracy of Jacksonville, NC, Pendaley C. and Mark A. Prosper of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Carter M. Bracy, Kennedy E. Bracy, Jacob A. Prosper, and Sydney P. Prosper; brother and sister-in-law, Rudolph and Dorothy Carter of Suffolk, VA.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Jonathan D. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Friends may join the family Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
