Rachel Ellen Angley Suttle, 67, of Suffolk, VA passed away on September 21, 2020. She was born in Lenoir, NC to the late Betty Mae Burris and John Angley. Rachel was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Angley. Rachel is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Larry Junior Suttle; daughter, Rebecca Suttle; sons, Shawn Phillips (Carter) and Jason Phillips; grandchildren, Kaya, Piper and Nathan Phillips; sister, Sandy Angley; brothers, Tim Angley (Janie) and Doug Angley (Brenda); and many beloved extended family members and friends. She worked as an accountant for Tidewater Wholesalers.

Rachel was incredibly kindhearted and was the sweetest most caring person. She never met a stranger and made an impact on everyone she met.  She opened her home countless times to help those in need. Rachel could make you happy when you were sad, calm when you were angry, and hopeful when you were in doubt. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 — "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."

Rachel's memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2020 with Pastor Joe Poe officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lupus Foundation of America.
