Rachael Madeline Davis Thomas, 92, of Eure, NC passed away on June 25, 2012. A native of Gainesville, FL, she was the daughter of the late June A. Davis and Maude Futrell Davis Matthews. She was also predeceased by her husband, Howard D. Thomas; children, Joyce M. Fairclough, William T. McClenny, and John L. McClenny; grandchildren, Gloria L. White and Angela Fairclough. She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Eure, NC.

She is survived by her four daughters: Shirley M. Smith, of Portsmouth, VA, Patricia A. Javins of Eure, NC, Jean M. Fletcher of Winton, NC and Cathy E. Williams of Chesapeake, VA; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and sisters: Lydia Harrell and Virginia Dean Stewart.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd., Suffolk, VA 23435, with Rev. Roger Kiker officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA.
