Peter Frederick Bariteau, 64, passed away August 10, 2023.  He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Frederick Joseph Bariteau and Corinne Adria Palladino Bariteau.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Allie Corinne Bariteau.  Peter graduated from Norfolk Academy in 1977 and Washington and Lee University in 1981.  At Washington and Lee he was a member of the Alpha Omicron Delta Chapter of Chi Psi Fraternity.  Peter worked as the Director of the Audit Department at Zukerman & Associates, LTD.  He was a lifelong Washington Redskins and New York Mets fan and enjoyed a drink with friends.  He was the life of the party and was always quick with a joke.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kathryn Johnson Bariteau; his children who he adored, Lydia Elizabeth Bariteau, Phillip Andrew Bariteau (Erin); and nephew, Derek Fimian.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Ghent United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Schaeffer officiating.  Inurnment will be private at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norfolk SPCA or the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
