Perry Franklin Worrell Sr, 66, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 20, 2021 at Obici Hospital from complications following a heart attack. He now celebrates his life with his parents, Joseph Franklin "Frank" Worrell Jr. and Martha "Tippy" Worrell; nephew, Frank Newsome; and aunt, Marie Roeder.

Perry worked in construction for over 45 years. He volunteered at the YMCA of Southampton Roads for 26 years, where he was the only recipient to receive the Volunteer Service To Youth Award twice. He was a ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Newport News in the '80s, where he met fellow instructor and future wife, Lorraine. He was also a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 35 years, Lorraine James Worrell; son and fiancée, Perry Franklin "PJ" Worrell Jr. and AnnMarie Knight; sister and brother in law, Debbie Worrell Dalton and Don; great niece, Erica Mumford; Aunt and uncle, Josephine Pierce and Percy; numerous members of the James, Wyatt, Pierce, and Roeder families; beloved dog, Ava; and numerous family and friends.

Perry's graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends may greet the family immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Suffolk Humane Society, 412 Kings Fork Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434.
