Penny Johnson Rose, 54, passed away February 22, 2024.  She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of Sarah Vellines Johnson and the late William Warren Johnson.  Penny was an LPN and a member of London Bridge Baptist Church where she served as an AWANA leader.  She was predeceased by her son, William Bruce Rose.

Penny is survived by her husband of 18 years, William Troy Rose; children, Theresa Culp (Steven), Zackary Culp, Sarah, Kristal, and Faith Rose; 3 stepdaughters, Stephany Hale (Lonnie), JoAnna McBride, and Jessica Darden (James); 9 grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; brother, Randy Johnson (Michelle); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
