Paula Jean Edwards, 67, passed away June 28, 2017. She was born in Portsmouth, VA and was the daughter of the late Paul Arthur Reilly and Sidney Elsie Wilson Reilly. She was a graduate of Old Dominion University and Louise Obici School of Nursing. Paula retired on March 1, 2015 after 25 years of serving as a registered nurse at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Paula is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Ernest "Ernie" Edwards, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Mae Ruest and Dr. Michael Ruest; grandchildren, Mikayla Ruest, Ethan Ruest, Jackson Edwards, Eli Edwards, Emily Mathews, Bobby Mathews, Caleb Cutchins and Paul Reilly; brothers and sister-in-law, Dr. Michael and Jean Reilly and Pat Reilly; and special extended family members, Terrie Gray, Melanie and Paul Mathews, Kerri Bradley and Joey Cutchins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Alan Lancaster officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
