Penny Byrd Foxworth, 57, of Gloucester, VA passed away on May 20, 2008 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. A native of Suffolk, VA she was the daughter of the late James Rufus Byrd and Lucile Luter Byrd. Penny was a 5th grade Teacher at Ware Academy in Gloucester, VA.

Penny is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mykea F. and Heath Atkinson of Florence, SC; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael K. Foxworth, II, M.D. and Jennifer of Richmond, VA; grandchild Reagan Atkinson; and sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Bradley Moore of Gloucester, VA.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Spring Christian Church with Rev. Allen Lancaster and Rev. Dolan Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
