Ollie T. Logan, age 90 (formerly of Ivor, VA) passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Raleigh, NC after a short illness. He was born in Surry, VA to the late Avie and Amanda James Logan. He spent his life as a farmer raising corn, peanuts, and hogs. After retiring, Ollie worked at Little's Supermarket in Smithfield for almost 10 years. He was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church where he taught the "Young Men's" Sunday School class for many years. He served as church treasurer and enjoyed singing in the church choir. After 50 years serving as a deacon, he was named Deacon Emeritus.

Ollie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Wells Logan. He is also survived by his daughter, Jeanette Mason of Raleigh, NC, his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Marcia Logan of Wilmington, DE, a grandson, 4 granddaughters, and 2 great grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, James; sisters, Doris Joyner and Emily Edwards; and son-in-law, Kenneth Mason.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Central Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1, 2012 with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Services will start at 1:00 p.m. with family visitation immediately following the service. Burial will be at Mill Swamp Baptist Church.
