Nellie Jernigan Weaver, 90, of Courtland, VA passed away on October 22, 2012. A native of Nansemond County, VA she was the daughter of the late Herbert Stanley Jernigan and Effie Mae Harrell Jernigan. She was also predeceased by her husband Elgie B. Weaver; her sister, Selena Cox and her brothers: Robert E. Jernigan, William H. Jernigan and Arthur R. Jernigan and one nephew Arther Jernigan, Jr. Nellie retired after 21 years from the meat department of Be-Lo's.

She is survived by her brothers: Louis N. Jernigan and Raymond T. Jernigan, eleven nephews and thirteen nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Danny Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Holland Cemetery.
