Nellie Pearl Sutphin Byrum born August 28, 1934 went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2008. Born in Johnson City, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late William L. and Nellie M. Sutphin. Nellie was a member of Maranatha Church of Windsor, VA. She loved her church, family, and neighbors. Her hobbies were flowers and birds.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert T. Byrum Sr.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Hubert T. Byrum Jr. and Patricia N. Byrum, Michael J. Byrum all of Windsor, VA.; grandchildren Dawn, Hubert III, and Patricia Byrum; sister, Elsie Heaton of Bristol, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Jean Sutphin of Suffolk, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Dr. Clyde Alderman officiating.
