Nannie May Jennings Ewell, 92, passed away January 8, 2021.  She was born in Bedford County, VA the daughter of the late Hollis Lee Jennings, Sr. and Elizabeth Hawkes Jennings.  She was predeceased by her husband, Thurston Ray Ewell; daughter, Cindy Gayle Ewell; and brother, Hollis Lee Jennings, Jr.  She went by her nickname Pete from Maury High School and was known as Pete Ewell for most of her life.  Pete formerly worked as floral designer for Pembroke Mall Florist.  She attended Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church.  She was a member of the Suffolk Quilter's Guild.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed being on a farm and raising goats, miniature horses, and chickens.

Pete is survived by her daughter, Vickie L. Williams; and grandchildren, Kelsey Williams and Kyle Williams.
