Nancy Maude Lassiter Byrd, 71, passed away October 31, 2022.  She was born in Hobbsville, NC the daughter of the late James Lassiter, Sr., and Maude Piland Lassiter.  Nancy retired as an L.P.N. from Autumn Care and was a member of Suffolk Bible Baptist Church.  She is predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Woodard Olia Byrd and brothers, Bobby and James Lassiter.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Cindy B. and husband Tommy Weaver, Brenda Jean Byrd; son, Michael J. Byrd and wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Aaron, Cody, Olivia, Destaney, Noah, Emily; great grandchildren, Cody Jr., Ezekiel, Zamiya and one on the way, Ma'Syah; sisters, Alice L. Lane, Jane L. Leonard and husband George, Susie L. Lamb and husband Merrill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Andrew G. Logue, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Cindy and Tommy Weaver.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Bible Baptist Church Ladies Ministry, 510 E.
