Monna-Maree "Peaches" Toler passed away peacefully in Obici Hospital on February 12, 2008. She was the daughter of Devere William and Ruth McRorie who preceded in death along with an infant son, her beloved husband, Gerald W. Toler, ret. Senior Chief Petty Officer U.S.N., and her brother, Devere W. McRorie. Mrs. Toler was born in Daytona Beach, Fl. on March 7, 1927, where her family spent their winters. They summered in Endicott, NY where she was a member of the First Methodist Church. The Tolers retired in Daytona Beach, Fl. and enjoyed bowling and walking in the water. Mrs. Toler was an active member of the Bayside Neighborhood Watch until she moved to Suffolk, VA into the Hillcrest Retirement Center in 2006. She was a member of the Better Breathers Group at Obici and the Friendly Fellowship Group at Holy Neck Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jill Devere Fair (Greg) of Suffolk, VA, Gerri Irene Garrett (Jerry) of Milton, WV; a niece, Cindy Ruth McRorie of New Symerna, Fl.; grandchildren, Bill Stakes, Tammy Stakes, Neil Fair, Cole Garrett, Terri Garrett Rappold, and Sarah Garrett; great grandchildren, Cody and Cade Garrett, Kai Rappold, Andrea, Jerry, and C. J. Stakes.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Holy Neck Christian Church with Rev. Dolan Talbert officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association at P.O. Box 1224, Franklin, VA 23851. Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
