Mitchell Pollard Hunter, Jr., 53, passed away October 21, 2010. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of Mitchell Pollard Hunter, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Lee Maxey Hunter. He formerly worked as a sales engineer for Johnson Controls. He was a member of Windsor Baptist Church.

Mitchell is survived by his father, Mitchell P. Hunter, Sr. and wife, Harriet Wills-Hunter of Suffolk; sister, Carol Hunter Nease and husband, Jeff of Raleigh, NC; niece, Amber Johnson; nephew, Brad Johnson; friend and brother-in-law, Johnny Johnson; longtime friend and caregiver, Carolyn Bracy.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Bryan Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Saturday evening from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home for a time of visitation and other times at the residence of Mitchell Hunter, Sr. Memorial donations may be made to the Canine Companions for Independence at P.O.
