Minnie Lucille Beaton White went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 27, 2017. She was born December 13, 1929 in Southampton County, VA to the late George C. Beaton, Sr. and Gladys Lowe Beaton. She is also predeceased by her husband of 48 years, David A. White, Sr.; sister, Alice Beaton Kirk; and brothers, Carlton B. Beaton, Robert E. "Bobby" Beaton and George C. Beaton, Jr.  She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and attended there with friends before her illness.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, David A. White, Jr. and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Jennifer White and Scott White and his wife, Heather; great granddaughters, Taylor, Hartley, Skylar and Sundee White; sister, Bonnie Bracy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Although Lucille suffered from Alzheimer's for over ten years, she will be remembered best as a woman who loved spending time with her family. She cooked and served as many as 35 family and friends each Thanksgiving and Christmas for many years. She also had a great love for her little poodle dogs, Mitzi, Poppy and Bridgett. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Autumn Care Nursing Home for the excellent care and love they showed "Miss Minnie" for the past four years.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Edgell officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
