Mildred Hobbs Small, 92 of Suffolk, died on September 18, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Carroll Thomas Hobbs and Sallie Nixon Hobbs.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Henry Malcolm Small, and her brother, Thomas Jackson "Tomboy" Hobbs.

She was retired from Barr Bros. Jewelers in Suffolk where she worked for over 25 years.

She was a long-time member of Eureka Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union, Lottie Moon Circle, Ida K. Brinkley Sunday School Class, and the Young at Heart Seniors Club.

She is survived by her three daughters:  Lynne Gardner, Kaye Fisher, and Gail Jones; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation at Parr Funeral Home will begin at noon on Thursday, September 24, 2020 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Cameron Currin officiating.  Burial will be at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to: Eureka Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P. O.
