Mildred Nelms Jackson, 94, passed away December 5, 2024.  She was born in Sedley, VA the daughter of the late Howard Presley Nelms and Virginia Jones Nelms.  She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Fred C. Jackson and sister, Ethel S. Bush.  Mildred was a longtime member of Bethlehem Christian Church where she was also a founder and member of the Jackson Circle.  She supported her community by sponsoring the Chesapeake - VA Beach 4-H Livestock Clubs.  In her free time, she loved cooking and entertaining her family and many friends.

Mildred is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who loved her immensely and who will miss her greatly.

Burial will be private at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Reception will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Graham Hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church Building Fund.
