Mildred Jeanette Crocker Hampton, 74, of Suffolk, VA passed away January 9, 2007. She was born the daughter of the late Lovie Lewis Crocker and Willie Harvey Crocker. Mildred originally retired from Helig-Meyers Furniture Store and later went on to retire from Suffolk Sheriff's Department as the main secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Main Street. She was also a member of the Credit Professionals International where she maintained perfect attendance for 48 years. She volunteered with the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad and Ladies Auxillary when they first started.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Linda Crocker Clements and her husband Douglas of Suffolk, VA; brothers, William Harvey Crocker of Wakefield, VA, Ronald Wayne Crocker and his wife Marinda of Gatesville, NC; special cousin, Margaret Riddick and her husband, Charlie of Suffolk, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home with Dr. Bryan J. Ray officiating.
