Mildred Parker Beamon, 98, of Suffolk passed away July 22, 2022.  She was born in North Carolina to the late John Hoggard and Mabel Parker Hoggard. Mildred is predeceased by her husband, James Woodrow Beamon; son, Ronnie P. Beamon; and her nine siblings. She was a retired self-employed hairstylist. Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church, North Main Street.

Mildred is survived by her son, James Larry Beamon (Patricia); daughter-in-law, Molly Beamon; grandchildren, Kathy Smith, Andy Beamon and Amy B. Farley (Danny); great grandchildren, Landon Farley, Chelsea Beamon, Piper Beamon, Jonathan Beamon and Kaitlin Helton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Walter G. Johnston, III officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday July 26, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 pm at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 and other times at the residence.
