Michele Opalio Carter, 58, passed away October 23, 2021.  She was born in Norfolk, VA the daughter of the late Ennio and Virginia Opalio.  She worked many years as a graphic artist.

Michele is survived by her devoted and caring husband of 19 years, Brett Scott Carter, Sr.; step daughters, Alison C. Frazee (Nate), Caitlin C. Hollowell (Jason); step son, Brett S. Carter, Jr. (Alona); 5 step grandchildren; sisters, Kim Opalio King (Stephen), Renee Opalio Brown (David); nieces and nephews, Bartley King, M.H. King, Virginia King, Jen Ackley, Steph Hartman and Michael Schmidt.

Michele was an artist in all things, her work, in the kitchen or in her garden.  She always supported all her nieces and nephews many endeavors.  She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness and love for her family.  A caring, loving wife, sister and aunt who will be dearly missed.  She will be forever in our hearts.
