Michael "T.J." Tyrone Brown, Jr., 32, passed away August 18, 2018.  He was born in Newport News, VA the son of Michael Tyrone Brown, Sr. and Karen Jacqueline Harmon Brown.  Michael was a United States Navy veteran having medically retired as a Navy Aviation Boatswains Mate Third Class Petty Officer.  He was a dedicated member of Upward Church in Norfolk, VA.  He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW. He had a very loving and benevolent spirit.  He supported numerous charities and actively volunteered in his community.  Most of all, he was a God fearing man who enriched the lives of everyone he has come in contact with.  He adored and loved his wife, children, family and friends and brought so much joy to their lives.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his wife, Candis L. Brown; daughters, Kerington C. Brown and Ariyana E. Brown; sons, London S. Brown and Laikelon M. Brown; sisters, Malikah T. Brown and Jasmine T. Brown; brother, Andrew T. Brown; God mother, Mary; God father, Marvin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Willie C. Brown, Sr., Cynthia P. Chapman, Margaret Weaver, and Benjamin Weaver.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Elder Willie Brown, Chaplain Curtis Davis, and Chaplain Charles Roland officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G.
