Sgt. Michael Andrew Tooley, 28, of Sunbury, NC passed away July 16, 2016. He was born in Suffolk, VA to James Alvin Tooley and Lea Anne Cartwright Tooley. Michael was an active duty U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Missionary Church . He loved to hunt and fish.

Including his parents, Michael is survived by his wife, Tiffany D. Tooley; grandparents, Lawrence and Christine Tooley, sisters, Angela Morgan and Rachel Belden; brothers, Billy Riggins (Debbie), Anthony Pickett (Christi), and Daniel Tooley; and numerous other family members.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow with full military honors at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of his parents.
