Michael Allen Pentecost, 52, passed away August 31, 2018.  He was born in Cincinnati, OH the son of Stephen Franklin Pentecost and the late Nancy Jo Vogelgesang Pentecost.  He worked as an engineer for Huntington Ingalls.  Michael was a member of New Creation United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, VA and was a member of the Gateway Sunday School Class.  He was also a member of the Homeowner's Association Board at Burbage Grant.

In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years, Holly Lynn Birdsong Pentecost; daughter, Erin Mackenzie Pentecost; son, Ryan Patrick Pentecost; and brother, Paul Pentecost.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at New Creation United Methodist Church, 4320 Bruce Road, Chesapeake, VA 23321 with Rev. Randy Duncan and Rev. Stephanie Parker officiating.  A private inurnment at Albert G.
